What We Do

We are a regional development centre selecting the best players in & around South Gloucestershire who are not contracted to any professional clubs. We offer players the opportunity to receive academy standard coaching, to play games against higher standard opposition in a relaxed environment vital to boosting players confidence & fast tracking their personal development. In short we help give gifted players, when ready, opportunities to trial at professional club academies through our extensive links within the football community.

Our main priority is developing the players and giving them opportunities to test & better themselves without losing that contact to local football, which is so important. There are many players out there who are excellent at club level but not quite ready to perform consistently at academy level. We can give them a safe, controlled environment where they can learn and develop without the pressure of an academy. Our fixture program includes games against academy and football league clubs as well as playing against other county/development centre teams in the South West.

Our tailor made coaching syllabus is created by our UEFA qualified team of coaches. It draws on their many years of accumulated experience working in centre of excellences & top academies in the country. It includes ball skills, small sided games and futsal to create better decision making and improve technical ability. The programme also includes development topics and tactical insight to give South Gloucestershire Football Development players a better knowledge and understanding of the game. Our u7s – u11s play games every half term holiday against other development centres/academies, these are played during the day time. Our u12s – u16s play in the prestigious Junior Premier League on Saturday mornings which does not clash with local football and takes places Sundays from u12 onwards.
